This 19th century building is located in the 12ème Arrondissement on Avenue de St. Mandé in a traditional French neighborhood on the East side of Paris. This is an area of wonderful food shops with an open air market two days a week on Cours de Vincennes -- only a short walk away.  Modern supermarkets are just minutes away at la place de la Nation. Located on the 2nd floor this apartment overlooks a courtyard, has beautiful parquet, oak floors and is 770 sq. feet in area. The apartments entry hall, with storage space and phone, leads to the kitchen/dining room, living room and bathroom. The two bedrooms are off the kitchen. All rooms have at least one French window (all double glazed) and most windows have shutters for privacy.  The living room contains a very large sofa, two chairs, a coffee table, two side tables, a plush wool carpet, lovely decorative fireplace. Other features include:

  •  43" flat screen TV & DVD player (with a huge assortment of American DVDs for your viewing pleasure. We even have many Disney classics for the kids and big kids.)   DVD player is zone free. There is also Netflix access. 
  • Beautiful, open, French windows
  • Fully equipped kitchen/dining room with refrigerator/freezer for those who want to prepare their own meals
  • Oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave/toaster oven, coffee maker, food processor
  • Dining table that seats 4-6 comfortably 
  • Kitchen stocked with plenty of cookware for meals and baking
  • Large pantry with essentials always on hand, American food staples, spices, and snacks -- even microwave kettle corn for the movies!
  • Master bedroom contains a king size bed, two side tables, chest of drawers, chair and hanging rod with shelves and one window. 
  • Second bedroom contains two twin beds, two side tables, full size closet and two French windows. The rooms are quite spacious.
  • Washer/dryer to do your laundry while you visit the city or sleep. You don't have to bring clothing for a two week stay. 
  • A queen size self-inflatable bed for extra guests
  • Wired and wireless, 802.11A/G/B/N, 1GB fiber access for those who need to stay connected
  • VPN WiFi  access allows your cranky, USA only apps and web pages to run. Your hardware is in the USA!
  • PC and printer/scanner is also available to buy your train tickets or send pictures to your friends.
  • Standard cordless telephone (you are only charged for long distance calls)
  • Cell phones are available.  There is excellent coverage in France even in the major métro tunnels
    • iPhone with unlimited USA calling is available for longer rentals. 
    • iPad with French SIM for museum guides, etc. also available
  • FREE calls back to the USA from the cell or land line
  • Bathroom with large bathtub/shower, and wash basin. Separate toilet area. 
  • Apartment also includes a blow dryer, curling iron, iron, and ironing board. Don't pack those American appliances.
  • Transformers, large and small, on site to convert to 120VAC power for US appliances, chargers, and games
  • Air conditioner for the bedrooms. Very few places have A/C.
  • Fiber linked, HDMI TV with English news, CNN, CNBC, BCC, Netflix, CBS, PBS, NBC, etc. Ever watch Sponge Bob in French?
  • Sleeps 4-6 
  • Weekly cleaning available 
  • Buy some Euros from us at a fair price before you go. Don't get robbed by the exchange houses.
  • Absolutely, no smoking inside the apartment or building please. 
  • Métro: Porte de Vincennes from line one, and Picpus on line six. Both are a short walk away
  • Rent: max $300/day, $2000/week, $5500/month in the high season. $240/day mid season, and $170/day off season. The "dead of winter sale" rate is $900 for the whole week! The high season runs from the end of May to early September -- basically Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends.
  • Most major credit cards are accepted.  Payments by Zelle are also accepted
